“ What's not to love here....Nice vibe and fantastic Chicago tavern style pizza and along with the best onion rings and tater tots ever. This was my first time eating the pizza here and it's now one of my fav pizzas in Chicago. I'm usually not a fan of pizza with crust this cracker thin but the flavor of the cheese,sauce and toppings were so amazing ive had to change my stance on pizza this thin...Looking forward to going back. ”

Another big plus in my book! Tavern style pizza on point. My only slight criticism was we had the Italian beef and gardinera pizza, a personal favorite of mine and not something offered everywhere and it was very finely almost shredded beef. I like a heartier little ball of beef, but hey, I'm just one gal so next time I'll just order the pepperoni and hot honey; which I'm looking forward to. Great night, great food and atmosphere! I grew up down the street, but haven't been back since I was a kid and now my kids play basketball at Warren park so I'll be making this a regular stop post games!!! ”

“ I've been to Candlelite Chicago a few times now, and it's always a solid experience. The first time I went was on a Monday, and they had their half-off pizza deal, which is an absolute steal. You're basically getting buy-one-get-one-free pizzas, but I believe it's only for the medium and large sizes. Such a great deal! Another time I went, we got the pizza again, and the taste has been super consistent every time. We tried the taco pizza, which was good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the smokiness that comes from the roasted red pepper. Other than that, it was pretty solid. The veggie pizza is also a hit--classic tavern-style with a crispy, crunchy crust that's just so good. For appetizers, we got the fries, which were awesome, and you absolutely have to end the night with their cookie skillet. It's really, really good, though it can be a bit too sweet with all the caramel and chocolate on top. Plus, the ice cream-to-cookie ratio is a little off, but it's still worth getting. Both times I've been, the service was great. The place can get really busy on Mondays, so just a heads-up if you're planning to go then. There's street parking right in front that's usually free at night, which is super convenient. Definitely worth checking out! ”

“ I've been coming here since I was a kid (my mom still lives up the street) and while many things are very different - including the ownership - it's still very good. We got a "large" sausage for $28(!), which wasn't that large - luckily it was on a Tuesday night which is BOGO, so my mom took home a veggie pizza. ”
